2013-04-06 清明祭祖

今有人詢問:
參加清明法會，法會中見有師兄燒很多紙錢，水果，祭品……酒在地上，超度祖先，作為後人的我們，是否如法呢?
由於我剛學佛，有很多疑問，我心中的佛教是一種教育，但我覺得參加這類法會，感覺不清靜，該如何看待這類型的法會呢?
請師父慈悲為我這初學者解疑，阿彌陀佛

清明節的重點在於飲水思源、慎終追遠，應以簡單樸素的儀式來表達即可。切莫舖張浪費，甚至造成環境汙染，作為佛教徒，應節能減炭，以身作則，成為全民的表率。

The buning of joss sticks n incense papers though pollute e air is definitely not encouraged but fr another angle to view only e hungry ghost realm beings can smell e burnt joss stick n e food offered n received e burnt incense papers. The other 5 realms cannot benefit fr such offerings of e above.If I am wrong pls correct me. Thank you!

我回答：All ancestors had gone to rebirth, the meaning of the holiday is when drinking water think of its source. So we don't need to give food to ancestors by any kind of way. When we prepare some fruit or vegetable for them, we just think of their great merit and we are all from them. Any form of ceremony is not in order to feed them, the ceremony is just for cherishing the loving-kindness from ancestors. After this kind of memory, we will learn the great characters from acncestors.
