2013-04-11 新加坡朋友提供經營寺廟的方略

新加坡朋友非常慈悲,給了我非常完善經營寺廟的方略,無非希望幫助我能有更佳的財政來運作寺廟或建寺,非常感恩。

Hi Master, hope e foll ideas can be helpful to u to hv a steady flow of finance to run ur temple through my observation of some temples in my homeland:
1-Operates buddhist child care center
2-Some temples conduct Buddhist adult night classes,Caligragphy class,WuShu class ,flower arrangement class, weekend children Dharma class whereby they gath⋯⋯
er adult volunteered teachers from e night Buddhist classes to teach e weekend Dharma kids.
3-Operate old folks home, hospital .Sounds great but too much an investment n risk involved
4-Within ur temple premise hv a small room n get non-working volunteers to help sell Buddhist books, tea, organic food, chanting beads, etc
5-Conduct 7th month chanting ritual
6-点灯 opens to public n hv volunteers to look after a small 点灯 cum flowers counter to ask e public if they want to buy waxed lotus lamp/flowers to make offerings to e Buddhas
7-Temple opens to public at certain hour with donation boxes around .Some even hv Buddha's relics for public to pray but must hv security guide to guard e relics. Some selling Buddhist gold coins to public n donate back to e temple
8-counters selling small packets of rice, canned food, cooking oil with each item selling at $10 to make offering to e Buddhas n monks but these sold items cannot be brought home by e buyers. After paid n offered to Buddha e person got to put e item in a Giant metal bowl for e Temple's kitchen chef to cook for e residential monks.Must issue receipt to e $10 doner.

Hope e abv pointers r useful to u. I read thr ur post n realize 1 person doing all e running is indeed taxing as such it stirs me to suggest.
